Frequently Asked Questions

Do you offer Piercings?

No, we do not offer piercing services or jewelry, but please click here for our local shop recommendation.

Do you accept walk-in's?

Yes! Availability changes daily, so swing into the studio or give us a call at (561) 615-9444 to check our same-day schedule.

Do you tattoo Minors?

Yes, for information about tattoos for minors, click here

Do you tattoo hands, fingers, faces, and feet... & other parts?

Yes, but not every artist tattoos everything. Some artists have limitations on what areas they feel comfortable tattooing, so it's best to check if they do faces, hands, etc
Some areas are not subject to a free touch-up within one year of the tattoo.
Exceptions include but are not limited to: palms, hands, fingers, feet, white tattoos, etc.

How do I book an appointment?

If you know which artist you'd like to work with, reach out to them directly through their preferred method of contact; check their profile for booking information. If you are a minor, inform them of your age.

If you do not have a specific artist, we can match you with one. Appointments can be made in person, via Instagram @tbatattoos, or through email to tbatattooswpb@gmail.com

Please include:

  • reference picture(s)

  • location on your body it will be placed

  • approximate size - numerical measurement or object comparison (ex. size of baseball card, lighter, dollar bill, etc)

  • days/times you have available for an appt

To secure your appointment, your artist will take a deposit which will go towards the final cost of your tattoo. Deposits are non-refundable.

What should I bring to my appt? How do I prepare for my tattoo?

Your government ID is required for each tattoo appt.

Lotion your skin in the days before your appointment. Healthy, hydrated skin makes for a better healing and tattoo experience.

Hydrate yourself. Drink water, always and forever.

Get a good night's rest. Eat before your appointment, and don't drink excessive caffeine. Snacks and beverages are permitted in the shop so please bring what you need. Our plaza also has several food options, and there are a variety of grocery stores and restaurants nearby.

Shower, but do not shave - we cannot tattoo over broken skin. Allow our artists to handle prepping your skin to ensure a smooth working area. If you have dense or long hair in the area to be tattooed, please only trim down the hair to about a quarter inch.

If you are waxing, there should be 24 hours minimum between your wax and your tattoo.

Wear comfortable or loose clothing - we suggest dark colors due to the potential for pigment stains. Your clothes should not obstruct the area or be easy to pull away/remove from the portion to be tattooed.

The studio is cold. A jacket, scarf, blanket, or socks are suggested depending on your temperature sensitivity.

Tattoo pigment is permanent on clothes; only wear items you are comfortable potentially getting stained.

May I bring someone to my tattoo appointment?

Yes. We allow one companion to sit with you during your session.

Can I get a tattoo if I am taking blood thinners?

Blood thinners must be stopped four (4) days before your appointment to ensure the ink is not pushed out or your tattoo heals improperly.

As always with any health condition, please consult your doctor about potential risks a tattoo can have for your body, and whether adjusting your medication is safe.

Can I get a tattoo if I am Pregnant or Breastfeeding?

No. There are currently no government regulations or any medical institution publications regarding being tattooed while pregnant or breastfeeding. However, pregnant and postpartum bodies are more vulnerable to infection (which risks passing to your child) and hormonal fluctuations (which can cause allergic reactions even if previously there were none). Due to this, we err on the side of caution for your health, and your child.

How do I take care of my new tattoo?

Aftercare information can be found here. If you have additional questions reach out to your artist directly to receive advice regarding your specific tattoo.  Keep in mind artist schedules vary and they do work with their hands so your patience with their reply is appreciated.

For timely troubleshooting issues with the healing process, please contact our counterstaff via Instagram, phone, or come into the shop for in-person assistance.

What are your rates?

Our shop minimum is $100, and the artist hourly rates vary between $150-$200.
Each artist has flat-rate flash available and can provide full or half day rates, and discounted hourly rates for intensive projects requiring several sessions. To receive an accurate quote, reach out directly to the artist of your choice for a consultation, or stop by the studio.
