A government-issued ID is required for every tattoo.

Healthy, hydrated skin makes for a better healing and tattoo experience. Ensure the skin is prepped by applying lotion to the area for a few days before your appointment.

Drink water. A healthy, hydrated you makes for a better healing and tattoo experience.

Get a good night's rest. Eat before your appointment, and don't drink excessive caffeine. Snacks and beverages are permitted in the shop so please bring what you need. Our plaza also has several food options, and there are a variety of grocery stores and restaurants nearby.

Shower, but do not shave - we cannot tattoo over nicks or broken skin. Our artists will handle prepping the skin to ensure a smooth working area. However, if the area has dense/long hair, please only trim down to about a quarter inch. â€‹Waxing should be done 24 hours or more before the tattoo appointment to allow the skin to heal.

Wear comfortable or loose clothing - we suggest dark colors due to the potential for ink stains.Tattoo pigments are permanent on clothes; only wear items you are comfortable potentially getting stained.

Clothes should not obstruct the area or should be easy to pull away/remove to expose the portion to be tattooed. The studio is cold for most people, so a jacket, scarf, small blanket, or socks are suggested depending on your temperature sensitivity.

How do I book an appointment?

If you know which artist you'd like to work with, reach out to them directly through their preferred method of contact; check their profile for booking information. If you are a minor, inform them of your age.

If you do not have a specific artist, we can match you with one. Appointments can be made in person, via Instagram @tbatattoos, or through email to tbatattooswpb@gmail.com

To secure your appointment, your artist will take a deposit which will be applied towards the final cost of your tattoo. Deposits can be made online or in the shop. Deposits are non-refundable.

Do you tattoo hands, fingers, faces, feet, and others?

Yes, however, some artists have limitations on what areas they feel comfortable tattooing, so it's best to check if they do faces, hands and fingers, lips, ears, etc.

Can I bring someone with me to my session?

Yes. We allow one companion to sit with you during your session.

Can I bring my kids with me?

Our shop has a No Children policy for their safety and ours.
However, we do permit minors age 16-17 to accompany a client.

I am taking blood thinners, or have had recent medical issues - can I still get a tattoo?

If you have recently had medical procedures, surgery, have a compromised immune system, have recently had or are currently on chemo or radiation treatment, or are on immunosuppressant drugs, etc.. please speak to your doctor to ensure you are cleared for a tattoo.

Blood thinners must be stopped four (4) days before your appointment to ensure the ink is not pushed out or the tattoo heals improperly. We prefer for clients on blood thinners to make an appointment so they can safely and in a timely manner pause their dose. As always with any health condition, please consult your doctor about potential risks a tattoo can have for your body and whether pausing your medication is safe.

Can I get a tattoo if I am pregnant or breastfeeding?

No, as there are currently no government regulations or any medical institution publications with information on how being tattooed while pregnant or breastfeeding can affect you or your child. Pregnant and postpartum bodies are more vulnerable to infection which risks passing to your child through breastmilk; hormonal fluctuations in post-partum bodies can cause allergic reactions even if previously there were none. Due to this, we err on the side of caution for your health and your child, and will not tattoo you.

If you are breastfeeding and intend to stop or pause, please discuss your plan with your artist.

How do I take care of my new tattoo?

Aftercare information can be found here. If you have additional questions reach out to your artist directly to receive advice regarding your specific tattoo.  Keep in mind artist schedules vary and they do work with their hands so your patience with their reply is appreciated.

For timely troubleshooting issues with the healing process, please contact our counterstaff via Instagram, phone, or come into the shop for in-person assistance.
